Lawton Ursrey, CEO of Indie Peace is certainly following his passions. After graduating from college, Lawton worked in the corporate world for a few years. While working at PWC, Lawton explored a few hobbies and found his love for photography. He starting doing photo shoots on the side and loved it so much that he made a deal with himself: the month he made more money as a photographer, he would leave the corporate world.

That day finally came, and Lawton became a full time photographer. He gained traction very quickly, won a few photography competitions, and even photographed Russell Simmons and Nikki Giovanni. However, Lawton quickly realized that while photography provided a great creative outlet that he was in search for, but it lacked the business environment that he had tasted at previous corporate jobs.

He continued to refine his passions for both business and creativity with the birth of Indie Peace, an environmentally friendly fashion line. At Indie, Lawton uses his creative talents as the company’s chief designer, and also runs the business with his co-founder.
