Jody Weiss is an activist first, and an entrepreneur second. This amazing women has a very interesting story that’s very inspiring.
It all started when Jody was in middle school. Her family moved to Florida from New York and when she started her new school she was shocked at how segregated the student clicks were. Frustrated with the clear divisions in her school, she went straight to the principal and asked to make an announcement on the loud speaker, asking students to stop in the hallways for a few seconds to shake hands with each other. At first, the students (and faculty) thought this was crazy, but after the 3rd or 4th straight day of this, people actually started responding to this young activist. In fact, the project gained tons of exposure through the press, all thanks to the activist inside of Jody.
Later in her career Jody represented the world’s top track and field athletes as an agent with IMG. But one day she saw an advertisement in a magazine that really took her aback, and from that moment, she decided to take a stronger stand for women and human rights. Thus the birth of Peacekeeper Cause-Metics.
Peacekeeper Cause-Metics is an unbelievable “cause-metic” line that consistently makes donations to organizations fighting for human and women rights. Jody has successfully been able to couple her passion for activism and entrepreneurship with Peacekeeper.
