Interview with John Stevenson, Executive Chef of the Rose Group

John is a rockstar who’s passionate about cooking. What started out as an excuse to get out of class to attend a culinary career fair has turned into a passion and love for food.

John’s strategy for getting into the business is awesome: find the chefs who are the best, knock on their door, tell them you’ll work for free, and learn as much as you can. This strategy has helped him learn from some of the biggest and most well known chefs in the country.

Now, John is the Executive Chef of the Rose Group in New York City, where’s he’s cooking for crowds of up to 2000 people! He loves what he’s doing, and can’t imagine doing anything else. Did I mention that he’s only 26!?!?
