Interview with Sarah Lindholm, Founder of Cooper Martin

Sarah Lindholm, Founder of Cooper Martin, has an interesting story. A few years ago, Sarah found herself miserable with her job, which at the time was that of an attorney. She recognized it was not something she enjoyed doing, and the disappointment would even bring her to tears at times. But after her boyfriend’s father had surgery and was limited to his clothing options, Sarah’s AHA moment led her to the development and launch of an amazing company that creates trendy fashion garments that are easy to get in and out of for those whose movement might be limited due to surgery.

Couple Sarah’s unhappiness as an attorney with her interest in entrepreneurship, and her AHA moment led her to creating Cooper Martin.

Take note when Sarah talks about the importance of having a strong network. She mentions it was her network that helped her make the jump from law to entrepreneurship, and overcome the obstacles she encountered along the way. When I asked her how she handled the naysayers, she said it ultimately came down to her belief in the product, and her confidence that it was what people wanted.

Cooper Martin is a textbook example of where functionality meets style to meet a need in the marketplace.
